The Frankenstein Monster #16!

2119_4_16.jpg

This title originally started off as "The Monster of Frankenstein," and then renamed to this, although I believe the entire run of the comic, the indicia referred to it simply as "Frankenstein." Here's issue 16, by which time the Monster was brought to the present!

Where Monsters Dwell 32!

1950_4_032.jpg

This title was one of Marvel's reprint comic books by this point, reprinting stories from their 1950 monster books... I believe this predated their Frankenstein series. If I recall correctly, this story had an interesting take on the Frankenstein lecture, but I won't spoil it for you here!

Marvel Classics Comics!

7462_4_020.jpg

Marvel Comics already had their own Frankenstein Monster comic series, but when they started producing Marvel Classic Comics (a modern-day version of "Classics Illustrated"), they decided to cover Frankenstein there, too!

1627_4_4.jpg

I told you Dell turned the Monster into a Superhero! Here's issues 2, 3 and 4 of the title (issue 1 was the comic I showed you yesterday, even though it wasn't issue #1 of any title... there was a fifth issue, I believe, but it just reprinted issue 2).

Dell Movie Classics Frankenstein Comic!

1475_4_284.jpg

This comic book -- sort of a movie adaptation -- was successful enough that Dell Comics ended up starting a Frankenstein comic series... sadly, they decided to turn the Monster into a Superhero!

Frankenstein Poster!

frankenstein_poster3.jpg

This image of the monster -- or variations of it -- have been used all over the place, yet they seem to make the monster appear to move pretty fast, don't they?

Escape From Frankenstein Game!

frankenstein_escapefromfrankgame.JPG

This is a nifty game that happen to own myself, although I have yet to play it... basically, as you play it, the Monster gets constructed, and the players can send the Monster after the others... or something like that!

One-Year Anniversary!

monster_birthdayrecord

Well, that's one year down... care to place bets on how many years I can keep this blog up? I'm guessing at least another year and a half before I possibly start running short on items to post, but we'll see!

The item you see in the second photo above was a greeting card/record combo item, and I don't know if it would have a specific name on the record or not. Wish someone would rip these (for there were a couple different ones) and post them online somewhere!
