Frog Queen -- I spend hours every week going through saved eBay searches in hopes of finding good pics of stuff that's being sold. I decided a few years ago SOMEBODY needed to save these before they all went away, so others could enjoy them long after the items have been sold (as well as to provide my fellow geeks with ideas for things to add to their own collections, natch!).
Yes, David, it's a sad, sad thing that's become of the Sci-Fi Channel... just as it's a sad, sad thing that's becoming of the Cartoon Network. And what's already happened to what used to be the Game Show Network.
But we had to expect something was going on with Sci-Fi for some time, given the definitely non-SF shows that had started popping up.
Personally, I think they made a mistake by not doing a 3rd season of "Who Wants to be a Superhero?" and hiring me as consultant on it... but maybe that's just me.
Oh, well, at least when October runs around, some of the basic cable movie channels will go back to showing some classic sf & horror, even if only for that one month...
The Blog of Frankenstein is your daily destination for vintage Frankenstein-related goodies, including posters, lobby cards, stills, toys, and other coolness! And yes, I know that Frankenstein was the doctor, and not the monster... but the term has become such common use thanks to toys and the like over the years that I don't have a problem sometimes using "Frankenstein" to refer to the monster.
I am a former graphic designer turned medical assistant turned truck driver who's into comics, sf, tv, cartoons, monsters, oldies rock, and lots of other stuff.
